Drishyam 2 Movie Review

Drishyam 2 is a 2022 Indian Bollywood Hindi-language crime thriller film directed by Abhishek Pathak, based on the 2021 Malayalam film of the same name, and a sequel to the 2015 film Drishyam, which in turn was adapted from the 2013 Malayalam film. Set seven years after the predecessor, the film stars Ajay Devgn, Tabu, Akshaye Khanna, Shriya Saran and Ishita Dutta.[5][6] It also features Mrunal Jadhav, Rajat Kapoor, Saurabh Shukla and Kamlesh Sawant in supporting roles.
My Opinion
If you have already watched Drishyam then you will surely think was it necessary to make this sequel? Because the part 1 ended at a good completion of the story. The story was beautiful and the end was terrific too. So where can they go further with the story now? But after watching this movie you will get to know that yes that the part 1 deserved a sequel.
Though in the first part the whole characters family escaped from being arrested but still they had done a murder, yes they had there reasons so you as a person want to stay beside them but murder is not a small thing and the judgement for that falls upon a person whatever it may be. This sequel is 90-95 % same of its original malyalam version though it has a much faster pace than the original one due to cuts.
Akshay khanna’s character has been made more badass. Whenever he arrives at the screen you feel that yes he’s gonna do something now. The dialogs have made good justice to the characters. The movie runs like a game of chess where at first the characters set their pieces. Once the pieces on the board are set then when the actual fight starts then the third person watching it feels amazed.
All the actors including its lead Ajay Devgan have performed really well and it is totally evident. But I would still prefer its original version. The music for the film is interesting it tell you automatically that where the movie is taking you, when is its peak time and where is it slowing down so that it can take the next jump.
The first half can be really slow for you as they have taken a lot of time to reconnect from the first part from where they have left. But from the 2nd half the movie captures your eyes and brain as it catches a great pace. So in my opinion if you have not seen the original version and want to know about its story which is main material of this movie then you can go for this movie you won’t be disappointed.
